These five products can be used at your hotel or for your next camping festival! There are a lot of items that you may think of right away when thinking about camping like a tent, canopy, tarp, cooler, etc. The products I share on this post are more aimed towards hacking your way through traveling. Life hacks not only make your experience easier but more enjoyable and unique!
Just a note- these products can also be used for everyday use but I’m focusing on camping and traveling purposes. These products are eco friendly and can help you with more than just traveling purposes which is great!
This product is great for families and is pet safe! It has all natural ingredients and can be used on pets as well! “This Bug Balm we have had for a long time. Every show we attend we sell out. It works! It will keep away mosquitoes, ticks, flies, gnats, and much more.”
Reusable makeup wipes with a cute pattern? The perfect festival add!
Lately, I’ve been wanting to be as eco friendly as I can. I want to start reducing my trash use. I feel like I fill up my trash can every couple days and it honestly makes me feel bad. I could definitely reduce my use of plastic and trash in general but I need more reusable products like the makeup wipes or the bamboo cutlery set! Especially when it comes to traveling, whether it’s a hotel or camping, you want to limit your trace of trash as much as possible. Having a way of hacking festival camping really changes things! Who doesn’t love products that make your life easier and more efficient?
I wanted to give five rave outfit inspo from only what I have in my rave closet. I haven’t bought any new rave clothes since February of this year! I wanted give myself a challenge and also get creative with what I already have to create five rave looks that I LOVE!
If I’m able to link any products/clothing I show on this blog post, I will! My rave closet isn’t that big. All of my clothes fit in this broken tote bin I have so it’s always fun putting together pieces of clothing I’ve already worn but in a different way!
1. Jersey Look
The “jersey look” has become one of my favorite rave outfits ever since HiJinx 2019! It’s simple but with a staple piece like my Subtronics bright orange jersey, the possiblities are endless.
When you have no idea what to wear or it might be too cold to just wear rave bottoms, joggers have always been my go to!
Top – Shein
Necklace – Wish
Joggers – Shein
5. Simple Raver Look
When you’re first starting out with festivals, it can be really intimidating seeing regular rave clothes. You don’t have to start with that though. A simple bralette and skirt will do just fine! Or you can replace the skirt with joggers!
Bralette – Target
Jacket – Merch booth at HiJinx
Skirt – GoodWill
There is no right or wrong when it comes to festival clothing. Raves are all about being able to express yourself with no judgement. Get creative and where whatever feels right! What is so amazing about raves is that there are so many that all have different themes! You can plan your outfit according to the theme of the festival which makes it so much more fun!
I hope these outfits give you some type of rave outfit inspiration and I can’t wait to do more of these type of posts and videos soon! I also did two extra looks on my YouTube video! Yay! More inspo!
This isn’t exactly rave themed but I wanted to make a blog post of not so normal gift ideas that you can get your friends and family!
My birthday is coming up at the end of this month and it’s my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY! I’m very excited but also scared because I’m getting a little older! I’m still very very young but I already feel so old! My back hurts almost every day, I get headaches constantly, I’m always tired no matter how much I sleep! But hey, Happy 22nd Birthday to me!! WHooooo!
Here are 10 funny and unique gift ideas that will make someones day!
Normal gifts are still a very beautiful surprise, but it’s fun to switch it up every now and then! Most gifts I give someone is some type of DIY idea or turning something way more extra then I need to. Next up on my list for gift giving will be something funny, unique and weird!
I looove to dance! Whether I am at a rave, at home or in my car, I always catch myself filled with happiness when I start dancing. Especially at raves, I personally love watching people dance from stage to stage or of course at a stage just dancing the night away!
You don’t have to be an amazing dancer to let loose and have fun! Your energy does affect your surrounding and when you just let go, others will feel more comfortable to do as well!
Have you ever noticed that if you start dancing all silly and letting go, the people your surrounded by will start to dance more crazy too! It is such an amazing feeling and a great way to make friends!
2. Sharing Fun Toys Or Candy!
This is another great way to make friends or even just to put a smile on someones face! Sharing things at festivals is my all time favorite because I can truly feel the happy energy radiating off of everyone.
I have this YouTube video where I share 10 items that you can give people at raves! All of these items you can find for very cheap on Wish or Amazon.
3. Share Some Vicks And Cool People Down!
Get vicks that you’re able to share and put on someone’s neck/shoulders. Bring extra travel tissue so you can use one for each person. Make sure you ask them if it’s okay that you do this before you actually do it so you know they’re comfortable with it. This isn’t something you do to strangers, stick to your rave family for this one! Spread the vicks, take your fan and fan them with the vicks on! It feels AMAZING and is such a beautiful thing to share!
4. Keep a couple mini water bottles in your hydration pack!
Keep the germs to a minimum but also be able to keep people hydrated. You’re going to need to go in with the bottles empty but you can fill them when you get to the water refill stations! When someone needs water or asks you for some, just give them a mini water bottle for them to have.
If you want, put a piece of Kandi on the water bottle so they have a little extra gift that’s included with the water!
5. Flow Toys!
When you flow, you will see many smiles pass you by and it warms your heart. Have you ever walked past a flow artist and smile, sometimes stop and admire the beauty of the flow?
If you find someone watching you or you make a friend at the festival, ask if they would like to try it. I tried an orbit for the first time at Wakaan Festival and it inspired me to get one of my own!
Without much thought, you are always spreading positivity at raves. For most of us, festivals are our getaway of the outside world. The feeling is indescribable when you go to a festival.
From the moment you walk in, you have that amazing feeling of finally being home. Being with the people that get you the most. You’re all there sharing something we can agree on, something that we’re passionate about and will constantly spread love throughout all energies you will be meeting every time you go to a festival. I would love to do a part two to this blog post sometime in the future!
There is a lot to grasp that is going on in the world right now, but with everything we have done we ARE making a change. Your words speak louder than you think. Now is the not the time to be silent, we all have some type of platform that will make a change. I know I will never understand, but I stand. I hear you, I see you, I stand with you!
Researching these affirmations and quotes have helped me bring my creativity back and keep me positive. Repeating just one or multiple sayings every day keeps you focused on your goals and improves your motivation to become your best self.
Rave secrets are another way to say advanced rave tricks that most people don’t know they could do! Not only are you going to help yourself but also so many others after you learn these MUST know rave secrets.
I have been gathering so many rave tips & tricks, hacks and rave “secrets” since quarantine. I feel like I could write a book filled with all of the things I have researched these past couple months. On the bright side, when festivals do come back we are going to be so prepared and ready to dance all night!
I was actually thinking about it the other day and maybe most of you have been having this thought too. When events do come back, I feel like the entire rave community and festivals as a whole is going to change. Everyone has learned just how valuable raves are and how we will NEVER take them for granted ever again. It’s also been a confusing time because I’ve always been super grateful for all of the shows and festivals I have been able to go to and experience. I just know that my thoughts have changed. Music means everything to me and raves is what keeps me going and what I always look forward to in life. Going to shows and raves was my hobby and what got me (an introvert) out of the house. I didn’t realize how much I leaned on attending events and going to at least one show a month because it kept my mood uplifted and honestly kept me motivated as well. So that said, this has changed me as a person but it’s actually in a positive way!
I have a new kind of love towards music and this community as a whole. I can’t wait until we can dance together again and rave! Ever since the news of Wakaan Festival being cancelled this year, that put me really down and I’ve been stuck in some kind of “Rave Rut”?
I’m always excited to try new things at festivals and different ways we can make the experience feel like luxury with just a few rave secrets and learning easy tips & tricks for Before, During & After A Rave! Here are five must know rave secrets!
1. We have all heard of putting essential oils on your face mask or wrists but try putting essential oil on your hand fan! Not only will you get a colder breeze, it will smell good too!
If possible, put the oil on everything before you go through security because I have heard multiple times that they will take the oil bottles away.
Some essential oils I highly recommend are: Eucalyptus with a little bit of tea tree oil, Rosemary and Peppermint.
2. If you overheat easily, get a cooling towel! There is a product called Dapper Rags that are specifically made to keep ravers cool.
3. If you like giving people things at raves, bring a couple “porta potty gift bags”. Sounds funny but you will make so many people happy with this one, including yourself of course. Put together a small snack sandwich bag:
A couple notes I have about these bags: If you want to use a plastic bag or an Eco friendly bag, pick something clear to make it easier for you when you go through security.
I also love how many entrepreneurs there are in the rave community and there is a lot of people with small businesses – put your business card in there and/or a special gift that promotes you!
A pack of travel tissue
One single sanitizing wipe
One toilet seat cover (you can get these at fast food places, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Just fold them up)
Gum (use the small 5 piece pack of gum)
A piece of kandi! If you want to get really creative, make it with a lava bead charm or multiple beads and put essential oil on it!
4. If you’re not super hungry but you still want to eat something fast AND healthy? Find a smoothie stand and ask if you can buy a banana from them for a dollar! Most of the time they won’t say no and you still get your fruit in!
If bananas aren’t your thing and you want something different, you can do this with most of the vendors.
Here are a couple examples I can think of right now:
There was a vendor at Wakaan Festival who made french toast in the morning and put topping on it like strawberries and whip cream! You can ask if you can just have a bowl of strawberries for a couple dollars!
Other vendors might make smoothies where they might have a bunch of frozen fruit they can give you!
5. Put your packs of gum in a sandwich bag and put the bag under your hydration pack where the water goes into. Trust me, the cold gum is going to CHANGE your rave life!
You can use a different bag as long as it seals or no bag at all if that is what you prefer. The bag is just to prevent the gum packaging to get wet from the condensation.
Rave secrets are my all time favorite to research and dig into. I feel like a FBI Agent: Rave Edition. *insert cool sunglasses guy emoji*
I can’t wait to try these at the next festival I will be going to! The porta potty gift bags are going to be a must add to a future giveaway!
Raving smarter. Raving healthy and smart. Everybody is going to tell you the normal things. Drink water, take emerg-c, eat healthy, etc but there’s more than that. There’s many things that you can do DURING a festival that will definitely help you in the long run. I have a post here for raving smarter BEFORE and AFTER a rave. You can go into the rave with just a lighter, pack of gum and your phone in a hydration pack but I like to do extra things to ensure I still feel good before, after and even during the festival while you’re dancing and spreading good vibes all night long.
I’m only about 2 years in with raving but my ears are already ringing LIKE CRAZY. Especially when I go to smaller venues, once I get home my ears hurt for sometimes two days!
I have yet to grab a good pair of my own but there are so many businesses that have earplugs you will love!
Ask a vendor such as a bar or food truck/stand and ask if you can buy some ice for your hydration pack. You can ask if you can give them a couple dollars to get some ice in your water. You might even get some ice for free! This is a GAME CHANGER for a rave in the summer but I would say only do this once or twice. If you do this more than once, try going to a different vendor.
As we all know, the porta potties run out of toilet paper FAST and that will never be fun. You can use travel tissue for porta potties, napkins, and much more like using them for tears you’re going to have from the beautiful music and amazing memories we get to experience at raves. *cries because I miss festivals so much and I can’t wait until they come back!*
Spread The Love
Raving feels like a marathon and you can’t convince me otherwise. It takes a lot of learning and preparing to ensure your rave experience is perfect for you and your friends!
Spread the love and give people back rubs, share some vicks, give people some gum, offer a light show but get them comfy and have them lay down!
Go The Extra Mile, Bring A Blanket!
This is especially towards the people that like to stay in the back and create a spot where you set up a blanket and stay in that spot for a couple hours.
I am the type of raver that likes to do this and create my own little square or circle with a pashmina or blanket and stay there to dance for hours!
If you don’t want to waste space in your bag, get a clip-on blanket! I will say that these do take up a little bit of space but it is worth it so you have extra space in your pack! If you’re going to spend most of your time dancing the night away on your blanket, might as well take up some space for a little while until you can lay it down on the ground!
Aside from all of the rave tips and tricks, there is something you should always remember! If you feel like something is pulling you towards another direction, listen to that intuition! Say for example you just finished a set and you get this feeling that it’s a good time to walk around and explore more of what the festival has to offer. Listen to your heart and follow the adventure and path you were meant to go on! A big mistake a lot of people do, me included, is get too caught up in the music and don’t explore to see all the hidden and beautiful art that is around you!
Have you ever wanted friends/family to come over but wanted to host a themed party? I am the definition of an over achiever, Pinterest living, over the top human. I have done some of these party themes and even though you feel like the most extra person ever, depending how much you do for this party, it is a lot of fun!
This isn’t really rave related but I thought it would be a fun post to make. Speaking of not being rave related, let me know if you like when I do blog posts that aren’t related to the community! There will be a survery at the end of this blog post, I would love if you had some time to take it to help me improve this blog and what I write for you!
Here are five party themes that you can host and doesn’t take that much effort.
1. Ice Cream Sundae Party
I would say that this one is very common actually. You get a bunch of toppings, different ice cream and everyone makes a bunch of sundaes!
I will say that this isn’t that much of a party. Maybe something really fun to add after that pizza and tv binge watch marathon! It’s a great add to make things a little more interesting. You can get pretty creative with this too!
2. Epic Nerf Battle Party
This party theme has been on my list for awhile now! Now if you live in an apartment and don’t have much space, I would recommend going to a park, renting an Airbnb, or going to a friend’s house. You just need an open space that’s more than just a 500 sq ft box.
This one takes some time to set up and extra money than most if you don’t already have these items such as nerf guns and nerf bullets. But if everyone pitches in, it’s not that bad. I would say for everyone to go to the store and get their own nerf gun and a pack or two of nerf bullets.
Some tips to make this more creative: Use a cup or bucket, whatever you have so you can place bullets in random places. This way people can run to them and hide while being able to reload on bullets!
Whether it’s outside or in the house (more furniture to work this as barriers), make forts or places to hide behind. This will give the feel of actually being in a battle!
3. Breakfast Party
This theme is like the first one I mentioned but, well, breakfast themed!
Have everyone come over in their pajamas and have a breakfast themed party (which doesn’t have to be in the morning of course!).
You can have things such as a waffle bar, fruit stand, a bunch of toppings, etc
And don’t forget the mimosas!
4. Rave Themed Party (or Costume Party)
This party will be best when there is a live stream going on or you create a lineup yourself! If there is a live stream occurring, you can easily put that on and have a mini rave. You can also stack up some sets and create a playlist on YouTube. This way you can just start your playlist and you just created your own lineup to last all night long!
Do you want to be extra? Which is SUCH a good idea might I add!
Turn on all your trippy lights, turn on your diffuser, light a candle, bring out the Kandi and flow toys.
Put signs all over your home and make it feel more like a festival. You can put “water station” by your water, “DayDream Stage” and it’s your “second” stage which is actually your bedroom, and “Rave Bar” on your kitchen counter with alcohol, chasers, cups, and shot glasses! You can get very creative and cheesy with this.
5. Thrift Party
This party is fun because you get to hang out with your friends before you party and chill for the rest of the night! Go to a thrift shop and everyone has to find an outfit to wear!
You can make this a challenge and have it timed or you can only spend $20! This creative part is all up to you!
I’ve never been that great at hosting parties. I’ll invite people over but don’t really have a plan and then we end up just watching TV and ordering pizza. Which don’t get me wrong, you can never go wrong with doing this but sometimes I want to do something more creative and more memorable. Even if it is as simple as the breakfast bar or ice cream sundae bar, it will be more fun than you think and you can never go wrong with food!
Remember that creativity is key with these themes. Put your own touch on it or make it some kind of potluck where everyone brings one thing or multiple things to really bring this party together.
As mentioned in the beginning of this post, here is a survey I would love for you to fill out if you have the time! I love the way this blog has been going and I’m ready to take the next step in improving my platforms!
I watch Youtube more than TV and I am constantly looking for new Youtubers to watch! Specifically, I’m always looking for festival content creators because that is my favorite content to watch. My second favorite is fantasizing about Van life and studying how to run away and live at festivals with my pets. Of course I’m joking, please don’t bring your pets to festivals! The van life though will forever be a dream.
During this quarantine, we’re looking for new things to watch and new people to follow on social media. This post is of course focused on their channels but if you subscribe to them, follow them on their other social media! Here are ten youtubers that is so worth binging!
Fun fact- Emma got me into festival content creators and is the reason I started “Centered Flow”! She works hard for everything she has. She always shares constant information and the latest news.
My Favorite Type Of Video – I love her festival guides! Whether it’s prepping before a rave, a guide to a festival, I always leave her videos with new info and so many useful things that I can now use in my future rave experiences!
What a queen Vibe With Ade is! I look up to her a lot when making my festival content creation. I have followed her since I started raving and I’m so proud of the progress she has done and the confidence she has!
My Favorite Type Of Video – Her get rave ready with me videos. She makes me feel like we’re just hanging out together! I can’t wait to meet her at a rave one day.
A small Youtuber that should have way more subscribers than she has! She has been consistent with her content. From her content in general to the thumbnail and her intro, she always has me intrigued with every upload.
My Favorite Type Of Video – I love her EDC content!
I found this channel because of Vibe with Ade and I am so happy that I did. She has real rave hacks and information about festivals I have never heard of until I watched her videos. You can tell that she is going to be very successful and she just started uploading on YouTube about a year ago (If she did not delete previous videos, I’m basing this off of her current channel). Go Subscribe and get her to 300 subs!
My Favorite Type Of Video – I don’t have many to go off of but I found Rave Hackers from their “Raving 101” video!
She does not upload much but she is a natural with a camera! I found her recently when her Okeechobee vlog popped up on my home page.
My Favorite Type Of Video – Watch her vlogs, you won’t regret watching the beautiful energy she puts out.
During this quarantine and other times when we want to binge watch Youtube videos,we’re always looking for someone new to watch. With raves being postponed and festivals not currently happening, it’s a good feeling to watch rave vlogs, grwm videos and any festival content in general.
Now the time has come where I have to give myself a shameless self promo! Go subscribe to my YouTube channel where I mainly make festival content!
